At Kid Country !

Covid 19 Protocol

The health and safety of our Kid Country children, families and teachers is at the heart of all of our new COVID related procedures! We were so excited to re-open our doors in May 2020 and get back to the business of providing love and early education to our community’s children, so we’ve revised a lot of our procedures to help us do what we love safely!

  • We are currently only open from 6:00 am - 5:30 pm due to Covid and our class sizes have been reduced to meet the State regulations.
  • Parents and other visitors are not allowed past the front vestibule. Rather than taking your child to the classroom to drop him/her off, you will say your good-byes inside the front door and we will take your child to his/her classroom. In addition, we have implemented a check-in process that is contactless for the parents and allow only one parent at drop off/pick up.

  • We are now practicing stable grouping within our childcare center. This means that when your child arrives he/she goes directly to his/her classroom and does not re-group with any other classroom throughout the day, not even on the playground. This ensures that your child’s exposure stays within the students and teachers in his/her classroom. Children and teachers also wear masks as required in the classrooms.

  • Children’s temperatures and health is screened at drop off, along with two other times throughout the day. If any health concerns occur throughout the day, we will contact you and ask that you pick up within 30 minutes.

  • If a child does become ill with any COVID-like symptoms, the child goes home and remains out of childcare for a minimum of 72 hours before we evaluate whether the child may return or not.

  • We have increased our cleaning routines as well! Toys are cleaned and sheets are laundered daily. High contact surfaces are disinfected multiple times per day. We’ve added a disinfectant when cleaning our floors, use an electrostatic fogger, and installed HALO LED air purifiers to all furnaces too!.

As you can see, the health and safety of our children, teachers and families is our first priority!
